Camping

I also have an Australian Press, so named because it works kind of the reverse of a french press. Add ground coffee and boiling water, stir, wait 8 minutes, and it drains out through a screen in the bottom.

Coffee is freaking disgusting...

The only things a man should drink are milk, brown liquor, and in the most dire circumstances, water.

Silly, of course it works in reverse...it's upside down from the country where it's supposed to be used ! :icon_rofl:

I did pick up a new Perculator at a garage sale for my little vintage camping display... 'cause I ain't old yet enough for coffee. :icon_twisted:

The leaders/adults were always fussing over one in boy scouts, they always intrigued me how they worked.

I found the perfect canning pot today at the pile of junk people are bringing to the library for the big town yardsale, but the damn librarian wouldn't let me just buy it from the pile... Had the bottom jar holder, lid, and jar tongs all there.

Would have been perfect for a big camp soup/chowdah pot as well. Super heavy stainless. Ugh I want that pot!

Our last camping trip:

My farthest trip at Southington near Garretsville Ohio. (@fastpakr and his son shared the campsite with us)

Me pretending to camp on the dirt road around the corner from my house:

Very nice

My mom has been in the hospital I only got to stay in my tent one night. Definitely let us know what you think. I've found the three season tents to be stuffy during the summer months due to a lack of airflow. The price you pay for being able to camp in more seasons.

I figured I would post up my new camping set up... it was the first time I even set it up when I got to Attica. The plan is to take one of the solid walls and find someone to cut it out to the shape of the rear of my truck and sew in an elastic band to seal it up so the bugs stay out. I probably won't use it if it's just for a single night... but to set it up for a couple three nights it should work well... and if it's raining... it will work even better. It came with 3 solid walls a door wall and a screen wall. I ordered a second screen wall for summer use and a pass through breeze. Should be comfortable for two people.
