Washed the 2,600 or miles worth of bug guts off the 2019. I would have like to give it a nice waxing but it was too damn hot. So i started late and just barely got the truck dried off before dark.

My ranger overheated yesterday...limped it home my grandfather was going to tow me but it started and got it home before it almost overheated again. But the same day we drove down to a dodge dealership and got a good deal so now I'm driving a 2014 ford Taurus limited. (12k and I'd would have preferred a truck that was cheaper but I need transportation and i got that so I cant complain) Yes I like the car and am extremely thankful I'm going to be looking for part time job to help out with payments cuz yardwork and odd jobs don't put money in the bank. It starts still and I refilled the rad today but it still has vapor coming out of the radiator and the coolant guage started to climb back up after 5 minutes of running. Can anyone tell me if that's a sign of blown head gaskets or something. Cuz if so then I can sell it to my buddy and tell him to go buy a set of gaskets.

Dang @G8orFord … the critters down there move in fast... they moved in on a daily driver.

I'm looking forward to your opinions on that Mod you have going...

Yeah, the truck has rarely sat for more than a couple of days since it's rebuild, but it wasn't a big surprise based on past experience.

I don't move as fast as I used to and I'm being extra careful with fitment and re-routing issues. My back gave out on me yesterday, but I'm going to try to finish it up today.

Finally replaced my shocks all around yesterday. Picked the hottest day of the year (so far). Over 100 in my garage. Had to cut the fronts out. Old Ranchos weren't completely shot but over 100k. It was always a stiff ride with the Ranchos, rides much nicer now with the KYB Gas-Adjust.

Yeah, I have to tread lightly with the 2019 right now since it is still under warranty. If I can't figure out a way not to make a mess by the time the warranty is up, I'll probably look at relocating the filter. I also want to look into an oil cooler because of the turbo as well. Something with a thermostat would be preferable.

For something as menial as a filter relocation kit, I'd just do it. The magnuson moss act has you covered. The ONLY reason warranty coverage would be denied with your relocation kit is if the dealer can PROVE it was said filter relocation that caused the failure.

I bought some pieces-parts. Went to the junk yard and found out that, due to Covid, no 50% holiday sale today. Went in anyway. Scored a set of Warn manual hubs for $18 each. Also picked up a newer style filter housing that will make it easier to run my intake out between the inner and outer fender and do a snorkel setup. And this oil filter looked too new and easy-to-retrieve to just leave it there. Hot as blazes out there but still a good day at the junk yard. Although they weren't having the sale, they didn't nickle and dime me for every little piece, bracket, connector, etc.

You may be right and even though I have a great relationship with my local dealer's service and parts department, I don't trust any of them when it comes to warranties. If they can find a way to get out of it, they will. Not to mention I've had some shoddy warranty work done in the past. Not by this dealer or this manufacturer but the sentiment remains none the less. Especially since they found the most difficult and expensive way to do the repair. It wasn't on my dime but they could have done the repair much easier and quicker if they had just replaced the readily available bushings instead or replacing the entire lower trailing arm. An then not bled the brakes after they completed the work. All of that could have been avoided if they had just replaced the bushings while the trailing arms were mounted to the vehicle. I did it myself another vehicle. It wasn't that hard and was done with hand tools. In a dealer equipped shop, it should have been a piece of cake. No fuss, no muss.

Now see what you did? You made me rant! LOL

On a lighter note. I was finally able to give the 2019 a good bath and waxing. So, now both trucks are done. All that is left is the roller skate.

Dropped the drive shaft and found my bearing noise, rear U-joint and Carrier bearing are bad. Thought I had the 1 piece drive shaft but found I have the 2 piece so doing a carrier bearing will be fun. Hope I don't have to dig through a packed full shed to get to the press to do it. Off to the tech section to see if there is a write up on the carrier bearing replacement.

While I was dropping the drive shaft, Kid changed out the broken window crank handle so it stops popping off on her.

What are you using as an intake?
OEM tube and MAF tapped to a conical filter of unknown origin.
First start. Glad the only fireworks I witnessed today were after that.
