Murder Hornets

Only thing I have to say is....

Damn it Asia.

Last time we Fawked with bee genetics....

Yeah.,..

Last time we Fawked with Corona virus.....

These bunnies are the next thing that Japan is going to unleash on us. True fact...they raise them in the northern area of Japan.
Hopefully they will be contained....all flights from Japan where bunnies are on board will not be allowed to enter the US.

Damn.....you don't think they will co operate with the ninja bunnies do you?

Say it ain't so!

Don't know...
But years ago National Geographic did a documentary on Killer Tomatoes, so anything is possible. Many thought it was a fiction Sci Fi movie, but we may never know if it was real.
They may be hiding in plain sight right now, in your veggie garden, just waiting for the right moment to attack.

Who cares? No bees, no food.
You must consume ALOT of honey.

How will bees going extinct hurt pork, beef, or chicken production? Bees dont pollinate entire corn/soybean fields.

Isn't that what takes place in Dirtman's basement ?

Not sure about that... but I'm sure there are several other "ation" words going on down there...

Saw a story this AM (NYTimes I think) that apparently these murder hornets are a delicacy in Japan. They cook them on skewers and they mix the venom with alcohol for kicks. May be our salvation given the impending meat shortage...

Murder hornet... meet catbird...

Bye bye murder hornet.

Murder Hornets

One of these things can tear through a whole nest of hornets like a fat man at an all you can eat shrimp buffet.

Cicada killer wasp. generally fairly docile unless you are a cicada, then you are screwed.

AJ

Yea they are pretty benign and they don't live in groups so they don't bug me. (See what i did there)

The big females do have stingers though and they can do some serious damage if you really piss them off. Even without stinging they can bite through pretty much anything. I have a big sandy spot with flagstone I was gonna turn into a patio area, they absolutely love nesting under the flagstone so I just left it alone for them to enjoy. I despise cicadas so I encourage my vicious little friends to make as many nests as they want.

I have no real proof of this but I think they scare off carpenter bees as well. The more cicada wasps I get the less I seem to have carpenter bees...
