I have weld on clevises, not sure if I am going to use them.

I tow enough weird crap I want to keep the regular frame mounted receiver.

I am still feeling out a step, with the topper there isn’t much climbing over a closed tailgate anymore. Topper is not at all designed for a roof rack so there isn’t much need to fuss around with getting up there for anything. One might happen, I don’t know.

I had a little bit of free time in Omaha after a dr appointment yesterday so I hit the JY. Nabbed an equalizer for my parking brakes and actually managed to find a compass mirror, out of an 01 Grand Marquies.

No more getting lost!



And it is autodimming so when I am driving south to work the rising sun in the morning won't be blinding me in my center mirror.

I was happy to find the one I did so I grabbed it and ran.

I got the mirror put in today. I did go back and get a different mirror out of a '97 Tahoe because the first one wobbled all over on my windshield mount. I also snagged the ambient temp sensor and wired it in too. It reads the same as my F-150's factory thermometer so I am going to call that a win, I need to calibrate the compass yet which will have to wait a bit.



I also decided to upgrade my electrical system. I would like more circuits, mainly because I need one to run my mirror now and I would like to add a CB... and run a regular fused wire for my topper light so I don't have to my truck lights on to use the topper light. Right now I have 6 batt constant circuits, 5 are full and the one open one doesn't work and six key power with all of those are full. So I snagged one of these Blue Sea blocks I have heard a lot about, now that I know it will fit I will get another. They are really nicely made.



I also picked up a dune flag disconnect on the odd chance I ever go to a park that requires one and a CB antenna mount, both of which are the so-slow-is-it-even-moving bumper project.

It is a bowtie.

Actually that is a decal Jim used to make way back when... like 2003-04. If you zoom in it says "Rock Crusher" above the oval and the bowtie is crumbling.
