BlackBII's white ranger

Flex-a-lite 398. Rated at 2500cfm at 17 amps.

I used this same fan on my BII with a 4.0 and it worked great.

Thanks!

Bummer I don't have 4" of room though.

Hey black b2 could you post up a quick thing to show where you been ordering all those bushings and hard ware

Yeah I don't have a ton of room either. I am installing the fan later today and I'll snap some pics. :icon_thumby:

Sure thing champ.

Most of the hardware I have gotten from Ace Hardware; grade 8 yellow zinc bolts and grade 10.9 metric, depending on what I am replacing. There are some good sites for hardware though.

For the bushings, I got most of them from Prothane or Energy Suspension

Axle Pivot Bushings - Energy Suspension 4.3133

Rear Leaf Spring Bushings - Energy Suspension - 4.2134

Tight fit

I measured the fan and it comes it to exactly 100mm or 4 inches

It is tight but looks really nice, OEM kind of nice.

I think I am more in the neighborhood of 2" between the WP pulley and the radiator. I would love a thin single but I think I am stuck with running two smaller ones to dodge the water pump and A/C compressor.

Damn you are low on space!

Sounds like running two smaller ones is the way to go. You could try a large pusher on the front side of the A/C condenser, though I am not sure how well that would work for cooling. :dunno:

Can you run a pusher?

I am running a pusher, it kicks on if the truck sits awhile otherwise I don't hear much out of it. I started out with only it and it ran a lot, a low profile flex fan really helped it out when I went to the Explorer belt system and gained room for it.

I will not be able to run a pusher with the A/C condenser in place... and if my low pro flex fan can barely hack it now it won't do any better with A/C. There is no room between the condenser and grille in a first gen for a pusher. :annoyed:

I haven't gotten there yet but I know that will probably be my biggest hurdle to add A/C.

That sucks! There isn't a ton of room on a second gen either, but a slim pusher would fit I think.

I added some bright white led's to the gauges. I think they look nice and clean. - 194 LED Bulb - http://a.co/d4nMgoM

I also ordered a new old stock part. You'll have to wait and see what it is. :D

Today I got my center console installed. I normally wouldn't ever paint interior parts because they get scratched and look like crap, but after an hour of trying to get this grey plastic to look good I said screw it and sprayed it black. I think it looks okay.

What type of paint did you use? Regular or plastic?

I used Duplicolor Trim Paint in the green can. I have used it before on side mirrors and plastic panels before and it works well. It came out a tad too glossy for an interior piece but I think it looks good.

I'll snap some more pics of it later. I am going to paint the dash bezel as well, because now the two finishes don't match. :annoyed:
