RockRangerII refresh

i would be interested in a set of them in like a 4 in drop/lift
4 inches would be to much I think. I am working on a set of 2 inch drop right now.

Haven't done much with the truck lately. I decided to take a drive in the local mountains and wonder around on the forest service roads. Snow levels stopped me around 6800 feet. This is an area I haven't spent much time exploring. Being less then two hours from the house I need to spend more time around here.

I hate mud. the last half mile of the road out was nasty with some 18" deep holes. Took 20 minutes at the car wash to get most of it off.

there's a dent in your door

there's a dent in your door

There are dents on top of dents on the doors. One of these days I will get new doors. I had to beat the passenger door out so I could roll the window down at one point. Somehow they still seal with no leaks and no wind noise.

must be nice. When I flopped the explorer, it crushed the top of the cab on the passenger side, so now I have water and noise. Oh well. At least it isn't on the driver side.

your trip pics look great. I love traveling the old back roads and forest roads. That's what I want to do with the ranger. go explore old ghost towns and stuff.

Did a quick trip up to the mountains this weekend. One of the local clubs was doing a poker run raising money for trail maintenance in the area. The trail isn't hard but was a fun day spent in the mountains with Bailey. She slept most of the way home.

So we spent 5 days wheeling in Moab Utah with explorerforum.com. We did the back road from Colorado into Utah as shown above. Then we ran Kane Creek Trail, Poison Spider Mesa, Golden Spike, Gold Bar Rim, Strike Ravine, and Metal Masher. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

After 5 days of wheeling and 300 miles of driving I had to an hour drive to meet my trailer and tow rig. Got on I70 and made use of the Utah Speed limits. It was about all she had. The soft suspension made it something I don't plan to make a habit of.
