Can someone tell me how I adjust them, it's a 1989

When I replaced the headlights on my 1994, the parking lights and grill were off. Adjustment was easy. I just looked at a 1989 Ranger parked next to mine this morning and it looks like the same issue. Remove your parking/turn lights and maybe the grill to get to the screws.

I know the pic on the left with the long skinny one adjusts but the pic on the right with the tiny screw on the right side I'm not sure if it's an adjusting point. And idk how many adjusting points there are. I'm assuming there's two so far.

On all the sealed beams I've ever worked on, I have only seen two adjusting screws. One centered on top or bottom which changes the height of the beam, the other centered right or left which adjusts left/right. Almost always they are Philips head. In your right photo, the screw with the long shank after the threads looks suspect as an adjuster. I'd guess that it is a 5.5mm hex too.

I wouldn't have to take the lights off to get to ten would I and the grill?

Most likely it's those two. Have you tried them yet? Count the turns so you can put them back to original if you have to.

If you can, give them a shot of PB Blaster or something similar and let that soak in for a few hours...

I have a set from a 92 that are similar...they are not the easiest screws to turn when they are a bit rusty...try to get at the base where the threads go through...mine are outside under the snow somewhere or I'd go grab them to confirm for you...

Hi gang. Have a further question to this post.

I've used the adjuster screw all the way and beams are still too low. I replaced the rear springs and the truck sits a little high in back so the beams still point at the gophers now. (No - the answer isn't bigger springs on the front)

Do the screws in back of the light frame allow for more adjustment of the lamp? Has anyone else run into this?
