Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Yes! So booger build version 3 now?

Ok, lol.

There was also a d44 eb to fw d44 in there too..

So Booger 6.0?

Or go by tires,

Stock to 31 to 33 to 35 to 36 to 38 to 40....man, I have issues!

no, you have no issues....

at least that is what I keep telling myself:D:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

guess I was lucky that stock for me was 31's....

so I went 31-32....then 32-40....guess I skipped a few steps:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Yup, I am. It's getting 4 linked rear, 3 or 4 link front, truss's, new body panels, tranny work, motor work, tube work....gonna be fun!

Scrapped the buggy plan and sold it all off....

What type of rear 4 link are you planning? Are you going to use a kit like from ruffstuff? Why do you want to ditch the radius arms on the front? We need details!

The rear will be a custom triangulated 4 link using ruffstuff 1.25 heims and some of their brackets. I will build a truss to mount the upper links. I am going to use coil springs in the rear for now to save money.

The front is losing the radius arms for a few reasons, first and the main reason is I need to truss my front axle and with the wedge style radius arms I am using I can't fit a truss that I feel would be worth building. Second, the bushing allow the axle to wrap and with the design of radius arms in get front wheel hop. The last and final reason is my track bar is in the way and limit my up travel. If I go with a 3 link I will have more options for track bar placement becausethere is no wwedges in the way. The hydro opens my options also.

That's my thinking.... Lol

Are you planning to keep the rear section of the frame or are you thinking tube back half?

Right now I'm planning on cutting it behind the fuel cell.

looks like some of the terrain up here. Some day I just might have a truck that could handle the more extreme stuff like yours does

Most guys dream about women and sports cars... For me it's that truck.

2 questions...
What happened to the rock rings?
Why does it load up and die when you get off it?

Haha, thanks!

First, I switched from the H2's with the rock rings to some BTR aluminum beadlocks, I love em too btw.

The stalling, not sure, it comes and goes but I think it is from the lack of the speed sensor to help keep load on the motor when I go wide open to no throttle. I have one and I should hook it up, but I'm too lazy lol
