A little worried about sump capacity I decided to install a Canton sump.
Lazy me modded the front cross member to a removable one, making future inspections and access easier.

Instrumentation on the Ranger proof to be a hurdle that needs to be over come.

Reading through the forum it seems almost impossible to make the 4.0l taco work.

I modified the speedo drive to fit the Np205 t-case only to find that I have removed the wiring with the original harness. As the wiring was tidied up at that stage I just not see a way cutting it open again.

Decided to redo the whole dash using Autometer gauges. Fitted a speedo with a
GPS module.

Expanded metal with a white plastic backing covered with numerous layers of clear cote. First tried aluminium plate but I did not like the looks.

I would be happy to get my new oil and temp gauges installed on in my truck. They are going to be pillar mounted.

Cattle rails on a trucks is part of South African culture. At first I wanted to install a roll bar. The 35" was lying all over the load bin. As I plan to install an extra tank under the truck the spare were sort of in the way. Going on a hunting trip or two during the year I opted for rails with the spare on top.

Did you just call your bed a "load bin"...?

Anyway... The Bronco II tank is easily fit where your spare was, and has a 23 gallon capacity. There is a company that manufactures a composite version of it too, if you don't prefer steel tanks.

Yes load bin is the South African version of load bed. Problem is no Bronco`s available over here. Long range tanks the for SA Ranger is available and seems to be a perfect fit

It sounds way easier than it really is. I did this to my 87 ranger.
I had to:
Remove the oem rear crossmember.
Replace it with a stock bll crossmember.
Install a bll front crossmember.
Cut the bed support out to clear the top of the tank.
Build a 2" spacer to attach the tank straps to.
Install a tank selector switch.
Then if you wanna have a gauge on it you either have to put a selector switch in or put a secondary fuel gauge in.
