it's definitely the best wheeling i've seen, though i havent been out west

I have only heard good things. I know guys that have traveled quite far to wheel there. They actually pass Bad Lands, Bundy Hill, Haspin Acres, Southington and Wellsville to get there haha.

I hear RC is the best we can get on this side of the Mississippi with out going west to Moab.

However, I have heard SMORR (http://www.smorr.net/) is a good time too. My dad (who lives in St. Louis) has a lake house about an hour from that park. He said we are welcome to sleep there if we ever go. I just cant get any friends to take the 12 hr plunge with me. We could take 4-5 days off. Drive one, wheel 2-3 days, hang out on the boat for day 4 (and kill his beer stash) and head back on day 5 lol.

"Welcome to WellsvilleTrails.com!

You have found the BEST place in Ohio and 3rd in the nation for Off-Roading.Nearest city would be Wellsville Ohio 43968."

hahahahahahaha

Ya, that's what I've figured.

I started wheeling Wellsville in 1991. I've wheeled there more than anywhere, but I don't know how they come up with the '3rd in the nation' ranking.

I could come up with a bunch of places that would likely rank higher than Wellsville on a nation wide poll.

I am watching this weather. I really hope this chance of rain goes away. I hate mud lol

Right now it looks like the biggest chance for rain (60%) is going to be around the 4pm-5pm hour. We may see a shower, but it's not going to rain all day.

Don't worry, I'll pull you out if you get stuck. LOL.

Jeeps ready to go again. In the future I will be sure to make sure my transfer case has fluid in it, I was lucky this was the only casualty:

Also put a new CV boot on the front right axle, only worry I have is it holding oil pressure out on the trail. Does fine on the road, but drops after a while idling around, I dumped a quart of diff fluid in the engine on top of the 15w-40 and STP oil treatment thats already in it, so hopefully that helps LOL.

I'll post for sure tomorrow towards evening as to if I'm going to make it.

I posted up in the for sale forum a list of parts I have, if anyone wants anything on the list I'll throw it in the truck to bring up, just let me know you'll be there. http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141093

Jim, I believe you were interested in a skidplate for a BII last year, sorry I never made it out anywhere. If you're still interested, I'll throw it on the truck.

Naturally, if I can get rid of some parts and offset the cost of fuel to come out, I'll probably come even if I don't manage to get the choptop squared away tomorrow. I really want to bring the choptop, I just don't want to be "that guy" who brings a truck that breaks 5 seconds after you hit the first real obstacle. I've been that person before. I did not enjoy it.

HAHA, Sounds good.

I have a welded diff I want to put in in place of my shot LS. Not sure if I will attack that tonight or not.

Its all good. If it breaks, we will pull it back to camp and you can jump in an open seat.

Brad was "That guy" last trip.lol Jk.

Snapped axle, then buried it a few hours later.....

Im that guy with a 127" WB making the 200 pt turns on every trail.

I too make 200 pt turns but I only have a 100" WB

I'll be glad to help pull anyone out thats stuck. I'm probally the heaviest truck goin plus I have over 20,000 lb worth of winches on the Bronco.

Thats why I am supporting him. And I got stuck because I no longer had that shaft... :thefinger:

I only do 50 pt turns. Pivioting on trees helps.

20k of which power.. oh man. This might not be good.

20k of winch is only useful if you have an anchor point for. Last weekend, winches were dragging the wrong truck and bending trees... :icon_rofl:

But then again, that guy was stuck so deep he had 8" of goop on top of his 38's. :icon_thumby:

lol = joke. i mean i love wellsville i cant imagine better. its ranked best in ohio and 3rd in the nation :) but idk anything about this rc place.

i'll always have a soft spot for wellsville. the hill climbs are great there. Rausch is all rocks basically

the crazy thing about rausch is that it's all clean. I've never really seen much of any garbage around the trails. the whole weekend we saw 1 piece of "litter" - and it was a drive shaft boot that had broken and someone probably didn't have any idea.
