The spoilers add 500+ HP and there new front aerodynamics add like 199430240239239HP.
I think this wins worst mod picture ever.

It looks like someone barfed on the front end lol, and those exhaust upturns have to add at least 100hp.

V-8 Swaps in a Ranger are the best thing ever… makes the truck what it should have been.
Why Ford didn’t put the SBF in there when they did the Explorer V8 beats me; Ford was thinking buy the big truck.

Fog Lights on with highbeam is a good one.

Coil-Over is good too.

Replacing the 60/40 with full bucket set up.

HD Axles

Just to clear things up… some of us like a V-8 and we like Ranger, the two go together really well.

One of the worse things I have see is a Big Block in a Ford Ranger or a Chebby V-8 in a Ranger.

More I think about it the more I think about it, the less I think that not having a V8 Ranger was about F-150 sales. I think Ford though that the V8 was the best Ranger mod, why else would they have done the mod in house as man times as they did. If the Ranger had come with a V8 stock it wouldn't be much of a mod, that's why they left it for us to have as a mod.

Fog Lights on with highbeam is a good one.

I'll second that (even though I haven't done it myself) and add to it. High Beams with fogs and low beams. If there's no traffic coming and dark enough for high beams, the more light the better. My first gen doesn't have fogs (yet), but I will be wiring it to run both high and low beams at the same time.

I agree with the Chebby, though I understand using what you have available. That and the meds made some of them do it (DG). The big block on the other hand, I've seen some damn nice big block Rangers. Project Nightmare is one that comes to mind. Big dark gray first gen with big tires, big axles, and a big block. I think Gwaii's Ranger has a big block as well, but I believe he is in the process of reworking that truck.

yeahhhhh more reasons why engine swaps are stupid and over rated "oh dude its cool cause it has a v8 durrrrrrr:icon_twisted:" you guys are talking about getting small blocks/302's or whatever and those barely make any more power than the 4.0, plus they have 2 more cylinders that suck more gas. sounds like a whole lot of work for a tiny gain in horsepower and less mpg. :thefinger: If your gonna get a V8 go big or go home.

not only does a 302 make more power, it has more options for aftermarket parts to create even more power. You can easily get 300+ HP out of a 302, while gettting 220+Hp out of a 4.0 without a turbo is no easy task.

Also, the difference in displacement from a 4.0 to a 302 (aka 5.0?) is only 20% increase in size, not the 33% increase you are referring to going from 6 to 8 cylinders.

Finally, For a truck that can weigh under 3200 lbs, a 302 IS a big engine. Thats still more than twice the size of the stock 4-cylinder.

My 200hp 5.0 pulls my truck down the road like it's not there.

My engine went from 155hp to 200hp with a simple mustang HO cam swap that costed me $45.

I can only imagine what 300hp+ 5.0 would be like in a ranger, N/A or boosted.

How about into the ground? It should be buried like the steaming pile of sh... that it is.

haha, right next to the mustang ranger.
the hood looks like baby barf mixed with candle wax

Its not hard to get 300+hp from a 302 or a 351, that is almost twice the power of the 4.0. The reason they use the small block is the after market support. Find me some after market aluminum heads and nearly bolt on turbo kit for you 4.0. They dont use big blocks because the work isnt worth it.

I like that last one.
