Since one of my ranger buddies has a garage that my truck might be able to fit into, heres next sundays job so that i can change the oil.

Engine has settled onto it since the engine swap.

What bracket is that, could you just grind away enough to get it out for oil changings?

So from reading that the disk brakes just swap right over and bolt to the drum brake axle, that is exploder to exploder axle. I shouldnth ave to drill the rotors though.

Like I said though all depends on what my local yard wants for a rear axle. If the price is right and I find what Im looking for then I may do that.

Mine went on a full width F150 8.8.

i always cut the corner of the pan and flip it there and have it rewelded. well these days i could weld it myself but back when i started doing this shit i had to have it done.

The was the passengerside TTB bracket. If I had taken the 5 min to cut it off before putting my engine in I wouldnt have this problem now

Going to a buddies next sunday who has a garage and some sawzaws so that I can work indoors and get it cut off enough to get the plug out.

Also on the exploder 8.8, the tech library about it, it says people have swap the disk setup right over to a drum set with no problems.

yeah its a bolt up deal, but you need the lil flex lines remember.

From what i have been told, two passnger side exploder lines to have it hook up the same a my ranger setup.

Drive straight the gas gauge works. Turn right the gauge works. Turn left it temporally doesn't until i go back to driving straight or a direction other then left. But at least it works till it warms up out so i can properly fix it.

Going to change the oil tmorrow (or today I guess) since its going to be crappy weather on Sunday and I dont want to travel.

Also weather permitting and money is good, after the OB-GYN (baby appointment stuff) Im thinking Im going to run to the JY and grab that f150 front shaft from the truck that I got the rear drive shaft from. Should have grabbed it when I got the rear.

Also thinking of the easiest solution to my crossmember in the way. I dont want to redo/rework the bend part but I do have to move it over to make way so Im probably going to cut a lat section and extend it and the best way i can think of doing this is to find another ranger crossmemebr and graft it into it since my trans mounts are as far over ot the exhas it can go before it hits the hump that is there for the factory exhaust.

Bracket cut about ¾ of the way through then a few love taps of the hammer to both sides and she came right off.

Also put Pennzoil half synthetic blend in her, was only an extra buck for it, and a Fram ( if you don't like Fram don't post it here) oil filter.

It's out of the way enough now. I will say the truck was down a quart or so of oil but also i did have oil in the lines of the relocator and in the engine, oil cling on that it didn't have when i put the engine in. Also need to check the trans fluid too. Was 26797534 times easier and less messy then changing the oil from my old 2.8
