First off gwaii, my gfwanted some “us time” i told her in a minute when i started reading your thread.... 3 hours later she is asleep and my eyes hurt!
hahaha
let me boost your ego.. i think calling you a fab god would be an understatement.
this rig is absolutely f*cking nuts!! i love it! i am going to have to meditate/irish yoga(drink)/seek enlightenment to set my brain back to straight-ish.
i guess my question for you would be; Was most of this a guess and check build type? like imagine it up, build it and test it out hoping it will work, or is your understanding of any thing vehicular just off the charts? lol
hey qwaii, i do have a question for you... i am relatively new to wrenching on my vehicles (compared to you), i bought a 1982 chevy short wide with a stock 6.2 diesel when i was 14 years old and did all my own body and suspension work on it (after my gradpa showed me the ropes), then a few rigs later i got a ranger and proceed to do my sas and everything else on it. Which has gone well with the help of a friend or two. But i recently moved 2,000 miles from anyone i know and need some advice..
I swapped in a 1986 BW 1350 manual with the slip yoke for my shitty electric shift blowing Tcase, but after 3 different shift linkage set ups i still have issues, currently i have 2 small 1/4 rod end joints forming my links, while it is super smooth through 2H, 4H and N, the 4L will not engage, and since i have never done linkage before and am some what of a neewb at this what are some pointers or knowledge you can teach me??
i have access to a full metal shop (my uncle is a head honcho there) so i have material at my disposal, but some pointers on in’s and outs of shift linkage would be priceless, so sensi, what should i do? and how should i attack this serious issue??
Thanks for ANY advice![]()
Gwaii I have trouble not re-posting this thing on different sites all the time. Someone was bragging bout their 200:1 crawl ratio - I really had to resist the urge to say "200:1? Pretty good for 1 transmission.... But 6000:1 is where it's at."
Hahaha.
