Just completely gut both and then use the Mazda harness in the ranger cab

Thats prolly what I'm doing.

I found a 97 cab here in town for $250 but the more I think about how much work its gonna be, the more I want to find a slightly newer cab with the rear opening doors...

Its probally worth putting cage in this time while its all gutted lol

Yeah lol especially since Ive now realized how weak the roofs are on these things....

Picked up another Ranger yesterday: 2000 4x4 supercab...170K miles....runs good except rough idle and check engine light. Dent in the tailgate and two other minor dents, for the most part the exterior is in great shape. Interior is complete, somewhat dirty but all there...$2500.

Pics soon...

Will begin strip down of the interior of the Mazda shortly, as well as subsequent removal of the cab...Plan is to drive this one until about 1 week before spring break (and have the Mazda stripped) then start stripping the new Range, and then swap cabs over break

New ranger is throwing a P0174 code, running to lean bank 2. Hopefully just a cracked elbow at the PCV valve or O2 sensor and not a gasket leak.

usually isnt a gasket leak, thats a common code. got pics of the new one?

Basically ready to start removing the dash...but I'm gonna wait cuz I might wheel this pig as is up at Moonrocks in a couple weeks

On my Ranger I cleaned the MAF, put I a new IAC valve, topped off the fluids, put in a new O2 sensors after the car and cleared the DTC....hopefully the check engine light stays off!

Fixed the check engine light and P1511 code on the Range. It was just the upstream, driverside O2 sensor was fouled.

Got is smogged and it passed! I'm gonna list it on CL just for giggles and see if I get any bites and if it sells it sells maybe ill trade up again for somethin nicer who knows!!!

This weekend I'm planing on at minimum taking the winch, bumper, lights and associated electrical off the mazda :bawling:

Got the cab stripped and dash removed. Next is to unhook everything from the engine bay:
