Twister 85 B2 Build

The hole for the ball bearing is on the shaft? The shaft is probably hardened, and I don't know for sure what the solution will be. I'd try a dremel with a diamond tip bit first or maybe a grind stone. I think there are different hardness's of grindstones so you may have to talk to someone knowledgeable. Perhaps talk to someone at an industrial supply warehouse or machine shop.
Good luck,

Richard

OK so my body lift came with bolts, am I going to need to reuse any of the original bolts and nuts? The old ones are on there good, I tried with both my cordless and air impact and they just laughed at me. If I don't need then ill just cut them off.

Sent from, wait how did this get here?

Well I got 5 of them off, the two right behind the front seats are damn neat impossible to get off. I still have no idea how to get yo the ones right inside the hatch, the gas tank is in the way.

i cut the nut off the one right behind to the passenger seat to find the bolts is fused with the metal sleeve from the bushing :temper:

Well i ended up cutting the other one right behind the driver seat. Am i going to run into any problems with cutting them off? The far rear one on the driver side snapped :shok:, and passenger side ones nut is completely rounded off :pissedoff:. I am already starting to regret the body lift :icon_rofl:

This is the far rear passenger side one, i am afraid there is no metal left above the upper bushing :bawling:

Sucks how everything is fine until we start doing work on our older RBVs.

Yup, kinda sucks when you think your truck is in pretty good condition till you really dig in to it, only to find its hidden secrets lol :D

Well there is no metal above the far rear passenger side mount :joe2:, but i got all the other bolts out :redneck:

Note to self....don't put on a body lift.

This went from a v8 swap to body work.

Yup, would advise against it unless your truck is fairly new. So far it is far more work than I had thought

All if mine are fine, thankfully.

Anyways get this body lift on and get back to stuffing that engine under the hood.

It will be on Saturday. Wrenching for 3 days straight has left my arms and back quite sore. Plus my grandmothers funeral is on Thursday and Friday :bawling:

Sorry to hear about your loss.
