1993 Splash build

Oh, yea they can get it, in 5 lb boxes that they refues to separate. So I have to buy $75.00 or more in rod to get one or two rods...

Fawk yea! I found 5 pieces of nickel rod on ebay for $9.00 shipped!!! Endless supply with free shipping.

Drill a small hole at the very tip of each end of the crack to keep it from propagating further into the casting from the heat of the weld.:icon_welder:

And whatever you do, if you use brake cleaner to clean the area, make sure you have a fan blowing on the housing when you burn and stay upwind the entire time. The mixture of the welding process and the chemicals in the brake cleaner form a highly volital fatal vapor, killing a human in minutes...

I will have to remember that.

Found another axle for $100. I'm definitely not using this one.

Nice. I got a 79 Dana 44 complete with arms and the 205 from the same truck for $95, I love good cheap finds :D

Damn, that's a freakin steal!!

I like the '79 axles because they have the caster/camber bushings in them.

So did you finish getting your door sealed back up yet?

It's almost time to go do some water-wheeling.

Believe it or not, it doesnt leak the way it is right now.

I would have grabbed the gearbox for another $15, but Gregg (97trailrigDD) grabbed it before I got there...

Well that lil bugger.

I FINALLY located a 73-76.5 Chebby D44 in a random yard yesterday. They want $125 delivered to my house. The reason I want this is so I can have the high steer knuckles, spindle, axle shafts, and disc brake brackets. That's a steal for these hard to find parts.

nice....you cant beat that, especially delivered to you
