My goal for this was to build a well rounded system that was well balanced and had great sound but was completely hidden and kept the back seats still useable.

I finished this a while ago so I guess its about time I shared some pics.

I started with a sheet of 3/4" mdf and a cardboard template.

From there I made my cuts and dry fitted the bottom and sides together.

Finally glued the whole thing up.

After the glue dried I wrapped the box in grey carpet and painted the bottom

So... the jumpseats open, but theres no place to put your legs? I was sorta bummed. I've been toying with how to install subs but I haul my younger siblings around in my truck quite a bit and they have legs. I had just a 300W system and that even sounded fine, but I didnt like losing 1 seat. Don't late model Rangers have a sub in the fron under the dash or something?

Works for me. Looks good! There's no place to put your damn legs back there from the factory anyways.

My legs? No, but teenage siblings and friends too deadbeat to drive around themselves? Well, they gotta sit somewhere:icon_twisted:

That's what the bed's for! :icon_thumby:

:D

And kcm1582, looks good dude, very clean, it is a bit of a shame that you lose the leg room back there though.

Yes both seats open and there is plenty of room to lay your legs across the box, no worse then before the box went in.

Actually its pretty comfortable back there, enough for one of my friends to fall asleep sitting back there on the way to Mayhem Fest on Friday. I woke her up with the sub:D.

I can still carry 3 adults comfortably and could squeeze all 5 in if necessary, but the middle seat is a bit tight with the manual trans.

the middle seat is a bit tight with the manual trans.

agreed, 60/40's should've never been placed in manual trans trucks

Yeah, but I'm working on fixing that.

Yeah, I'm looking for a set of leather buckets from a newer Mustang or F150.

Why not?

The seat bolts have siezed in from rust and salt, tried heating them, and the carpet started to catch fire. So it can stay there.

try heating them just a little and melting candle wax into the threads and it may help it break free with a small enough amount of heat to not torch the truck

nope, they're staying in, I can't be bothered.

That looks awesome! Great work!
