Now I have 215/75/15 Firestone Destination A/T's on my 84 ranger xl 4x4, an two or three inch offset rims. When I bought them I was told they would work for offroad as long as I'm not rockers-deep in mud. What's your opinion? I mean... I can go through a decent mud puddle or two :headbang: But I'm talking about some good Tires-deep mud or something.. any suggestions? Highest I can possibly go is 235's... I still have everything bone-stock.

i wouldnt bother going offroad without atleast 31's. you can have some fun in dirt, but you'll be stuck in mud.

Just go with someone that can pull you out and have fun

i went out and had a blast. i have 30x9.5x15's. i went throught the same stuff my friends went through and they have $20k trucks with 33's and 35's, with V8's pusing them through.

they both got stuck and i didnt... :icon_rofl::yahoo::headbang:

lay the hammer down and hold on. it gets through whatever I need to with my 30's

make sure your u joints in your front end are good. dont want to snap any axles

I had a lot of fun with my 235 MT's.

I only had to do the walk of shame to get the tractor once... I did try to keep it real on what to expect I could get through though. :icon_thumby:

Went out and let her loose today.... seems the trails an mudholes were fine, of course till i remembered i burn a bit of oil. By the time I got home, she was dangerously low. Time to find a stronger motor.

Yeah you can, just make sure there is someone there to pull you out! I went through some pretty crazy stuff with my 265's wrangler rts on a stock b4000 4x4. Stuff I had no clue that I could make it haha.

pics when I have friends with me :P Otherwise I must go through water.... unfortunately here it's either go big or go home... so I'm stuff with the stuff the big 35's haven't gotten to. Hopefully this weekend I'll be out again though :icon_hornsup:

Rangers are surprisingly good Offroad for what they are. Even with smaller tires. They're such a small light truck they don't sink as much as the big V8's do. That's why you could go through more.

But bigger tires will make it even better.
