How can i fix a cat efficiency below threshold code

Hi I have an 07 3.0 and i have a cat efficiency code p0420 i believe. ive heard if you remove the cat and wash it in dish soap over nigh it will fix it. does anyone have any other suggestions that dont include pulling the cat off?

Replace your cats. Check your state laws, you may have warranty coverage on your converters yet. If you live in a California Emissions state emissions control components are covered up to 8 years or 80,000 miles. Although I kinda doubt Alabama will have that.



EDIT: Just checked, you do not live in a CARB state.


Get me your VIN and odometer reading and I'll check and see if you do have any coverage left on your converters.
