are you sure it has a rod knock? my tranny makes a sound like a slight rod knock i was told it was a bearing or something and i shouldnt worry about it.

First off, if your truck really does have a rod knock, your asking about $3500 too much for it. I picked up a 04 4.0 4wd a year ago for $1000 that had new tires, and a canopy in roughly the same shape as your truck with less miles.

Second, put a engine in it. They're fairly cheap and easy to swap. Your truck is not worth much without a good one anyway so whether or not you keep it or sell it that is the way to go. Heck, find a good engine and I'll give you a good deal to put it in. Here's a good place to look:

morg he is right, mods or not, its only worth so much with such a major issue. you arent gonna get more than a few grand for a truck on its last leg, unless you had a very rare ride, no a twin stick fx4 isnt what im talking about. rangers are just too common to be worth anything unless they are in good shape. there are a lot of 4x4 rangers for around 4-6k running well.

wes what did you use for rock lights? I want to get some, randy has some sweet ones too, I need to invest in em. its like underglow for fast and furious fan boys lol

I have some of these that I'm not going to use. 4 white and 2 warm white(yellowish). Brand new, never mounted, just played with a little. $100 and they're yours.
