The gun thread...

I just picked up a brand new Kel-Tec Sub2000 9mm with 3 clips, 2 boxes of ammo and a hard case for $250.. Good deal?

It is my first rifle since I was a kid and I had a bolt action .22 beater. I know nothing special or crazy expensive but it fired smooth and nice and was cheap. I was attracted to how small it was, interchangeable clips with the glock and how easily it folded down to 16".

Ill post some pics from the range tomorrow with it. I am looking forward to attending my first gun show in years this Saturday as well.

is it considered a rifle? those things are cool though, i want one eventually. for $250 i'd say it's a good deal. the store near me sells them for around $300.

as promised...

You need a permit there? You only need one if you are carrying the handgun concealed. Anyone can open carry in PA. No permit needed at all. All you need is an id (background check) and 20 minutes and you can walk out the door with your new toy.

Nothing at all needed but ID for rifles or shotguns.

I love PA...

Same as MS.. Gotta love the south! Lol

yeah, that's what they call it. you just go down to the sheriffs office and pay $5, fill out some form and then you can buy one. you can only go between the hours of 8 and 5 M-F though and those are the hours in which i work. gay.

shotguns and rifles, you just need an ID.

Lucky sob's. I gotta take a $100.00 safety class, wait 90 days. By then I won't want to kill people... Ridiculous...

i'd want to kill everyone.... :icon_rofl:

How do you like that stock set? Is it on a regular Arsonal gun or a different make?

I was playing with one at Cabela's the other day with the same stock but in black... didn't know dit-squat about AK's at the time but it did have the Tula arsonal mark on it. Got the wheels turning and I think it may be on the list to pick one up sometime... probably not an Arsonal gun though.

It is an Arsenal sgl21-63, it has the Warsaw length stock on it, Warsaw length buttstocks are made to the original AK-47's stock dimensions, while NATO length buttstocks feature a 1.25" increase in length of pull. While I am a fan of woodsets, the rifle came with the OD stock, Arsenal stocks are manufactured in the US so they are fully 922R compliant. The lower handguard has a stainless steel heatshield which seems to help keep the polymer from heating up after a few mag dumps.(•NATO length is 10.5" •Warsaw length is 9.25") I am 5'10" and the stock fits me comfortably, and I also like the original pistol grip.

I looked at several other variants- Romanian Wasr's, Chinese Norincos, milled Polish, etc. They were either beat up with 40+ year old parts mixed and matched together on new (non spec) receivers, or had canted front sights and other issues...or they were in decent shape but cost the same or more, than the brand new, mil-spec, Arsenal, and without all of the added features. Ive been shooting mostly Tula and Wolf 124gr FMJ military classic that I can get for around $0.20/round, and the corrosive surplus ammo is available for slightly cheaper in bulk.

i dont think that's too ridiculous, other than the fact that you're a vet. if you've served in a war zone, you obviously know how to properly care for even more destructive items than a dinky pistol.
