I'll happily compare the F150 to a Ranger feature for feature. You can't get into the ballpark price wise. I like Rangers because it's the right size for me. I don't haul a trailer, My job doesn't entail carrying a lot of ladders or construction equipment. The F150 would eat up too much space in my garage. I can fit both my Rangers front to back. That wouldn't happen with an F150 and just about anything else. I can go anywhere a full size goes and a lot of places they can't. People complain about the mileage. As stated thousands of times before if I was concerned about mileage I would own an economy car.
It always seems a comparison between these 2 trucks starts when the Ranger's demise is mentioned. They are not in the same group. They are both pick ups and that's where it needs to end.
Ford stated the Ranger is a lifestyle vehicle not a truck. Well I see so many full size trucks that look so nice and clean. This must mean that most aren't used as a work vehicle. It fits the owner's "lifestyle". Hmmmmm, that sounds familiar....

. All they have to do is model and sell the overseas ranger here with four doors and it would have taken off like wildfire. The ranger is one of the most popular trucks overseas due to the impressive body styling and interior. Too bad the fuucking idiots here in the US in charge at FORD can't see that. I have driven and the wife owns one in Brazil, a 2010 4x4 with 4cyl powerstroke. It is one of the best rangers I have ever had the pleasure of being behind the wheel of. Makes the last 10 years of rangers here look like crap. If they were sold here, every member of my family would drive one as we live and breathe rangers. Guess I will have to look to Toyota or GM for my future small size trucks. If FORD is not loyal to me and is ending an era of Rangers...... Well I will just have to end my loyalty to FORD. How the hell do you think that makes me feel after so many years of being a FORD man. I now have to transplant my blood with something else.
