Air filter questions?!

I bought a Spectre Universal Air Filter for my truck, and I am wondering if it will work, I have a 3.0L v6 and the guy at O'riellys didn't know shit.
Some one help!!!

91 that should work fine. When I got my 87 with 2.9 my air filter lid was broken so I got the same filter you have (except mine is red) and clamped it on the end of my air intake tube. It will get cool air when your moving and warmer air when sitting still which actually helps in winter.

You did not say it was a cone filter, you said it was a filter. It looks a bit goofy. Why not get a polished tube to get the correct fit and some better air flow?? Your stock filter airbox with a better filter will work much better then that setup you just did.
