Sweet payday, I love my new position at work.

Picking up those parts in the morning. Probably stopping at the JY and trying to find a dash for the 79. Might not get it though, depends on the cost.

I have to figure the hood latch out still, I'm getting the 01 latch and I know I have to switch it out. I'm just curious as to how to mount it. I suppose I'll have to see how the hood sits.

Yeah. I wanted to go 08 but I had trouble locating parts. I like the 01 edge just as much anyway.

Nice choice.
For some reason i really like the 01-03 Edge too.
Maybe one day ill do the same on mine. I already have the front bumper. and my hood works with the 01-03 grille.

What were you looking for? This has already had a lot of parts stripped off.

Didn't get my parts, work screwed my paycheck over. Didn't include the holiday pay, overtime, or commissions.

Going back to the yard to get some stuff, rest of it I'm going to have to wait on.

Got my corner lights, the brackets and hardware for the header panel, and two new vent shades. Also picked up the hood latch. Would have had a header panel but the JY wanted $20 more than I can get one new. Go figure.

Gotta figure out how to mount the latch, it's a much different setup than I have..

Also, anyone know the best way to mount ventshades that go inside the window trim? The only one's I've ever mounted went on the outside, but the ones on the ranger go in. I figured it was time to replace them since I have a chunk missing from each.

Scrape off all the old double sided tape and apply new. Then just leave tag end off the tape that's going on the inside and line then up and remove the paper that covers the sticky part.

I installed em by puting 2 sided tape and then closing the window on them to make pressure.
make sure u put a flat piece of plastic or something hard to make good pressure

I'm not that worried about them flying off, just wasn't sure if there was a specific method. The passenger side on my S10 was done in a hurry while it was raining, still stuck good. Crooked, but good. lol

Hoods on, looks shweet.

Colors off but I don't care. It's CLOSE ENOUGH.

Now.. after stripping down the header panel and everything else I see I'm in desperate need of a new core support! Might as well go with an 01, since I'm doing an 01 front anyway. Haha.

I'll replace the body mounts while I'm in there, something tells me they're supposed to be larger than an inch and not all squishy.

The little lady said my truck looks ugly. I've gotta get poppin on that facelift.

Picked up some new (to me) meats for it the other day. Mounting them tomorrow if it's warm enough out to use the compressor. $10/tire to see if they'll fit is alot better than dropping $1200+ on a set and not being able to make them work.

They're mastercraft courser MT's in 35x12.5R15. I'm not sure if I like the width, I might switch to a narrower tire when I buy new. This is why I'm testing them btw.

I'm also in the market for a 9" rear and D44 front. Hopefully once I finish rebuilding my 8.8 I'll be able to find someone who will take it off my hands and get me some money to buy a set of fullsize axles in need of some restoration.

Only sad thing is I really wanted to keep my rims. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes out for some AR Hammers in a fullsize pattern.

Found a D44/9" combo. Going to check it out.

Also have a guy with a sterling from a newer truck that he's willing to part with cheap, wrecked the truck so it's just been hanging out.

Just found a sweet cap, matching color, on craigslist. Trying to find a way to go pick it up. It won't fit on the S10 to make the trip, and I can't take the highboy down that far to get it. Going to see if I can talk my brother into letting me borrow his edge...
