What's a good truck box?

I walked out my apartment this morning and looked down the hill to my Ranger and saw my truck box wide open... I got this nasty gut feeling and when I got down there I was right, someone jarred the lock loose and stole $500-$600 worth of hand tools, towing gear and ratchet straps etc. I'm wondering what brand of truck box for under $400 actually has strong locks on it 'cause what I had (a Duralast box built by Better Built) was jarred loose with a screwdriver...

I have a Jobox. Two protected padlocks and I lock it to the bed of the truck through the stake holes with a chain. I don't use it much anymore though.

the best thing to do is not leave them in the truck (I always have probably 3-400 in tools in the truck of my b2 so I cant really say anything).

Even a pad lock can be cut with bolt cutters.

An alarm system would have stopped that. You will spend a bunch of money on tools and then leave them in your truck?? Get an alarm system.

i wish i could fit a bed box on the back of my truck, but i have the factory STX rollbar...

my friend got an old safe, removed he concrete, and used it. just make sure you grease the mechanism. bolted to the bed, weighed like 25 pounds.

weather guard makes a good box idk about 400 bucks. i lost the key one time and the lock smith said it would take five minutes well 30 minutes later no dice, luckily i found the key.

Check out American Lock series 5200GL. You'll break the bolt cutters before you get through the shackles. I have a few for sale that i have upgraded with bumpstop cylinders and pick resistant lower pins.

I looked into those Jobox's, a guy in my apartment complex has a Ridgid box like that too. Just gotta come up with $400 haha. And I wouldn't have kept them in my truck had I another place to keep them, I didn't think in a lit parking lot in a descent neighborhood someone would randomly pop my lock and take shit. No one else got hit and whoever it was musta been idiots cause they left my nice jumper cables, a $120 torque wrench and a set of brake tools that were in a big Sears bag. I'm not complaining that they left them and I've since removed them from my truck but still, f*ckin a. And the police have no leads yet

I'm also thinking of building my own, we'll see.
