my 2001 ranger broke a leaf on drivers side rear spring, the problem I am having is, prior to me owning the truck someone replaced the drivers side suicide door so the vin# tag doesn't match the actual vin# I have searched and searched no luck they made a B, K and a 3 spring configuration for 2001, so I have visited this site before and all you guys helped me without asking a question. is there a way I can Identify which springs are on my truck. thanks for listening

2001 may now be too old but try taking the real VIN to a dealer parts department and ask them what springs it had.
or just replace both springs with what fits your driving/hauling.

This^. It doesn't matter which one you get they all fit very similar. Just pick the weight rating you like and go.

Also welcome to TRS! Post up a pic or 2 of your ride.

Yeah, I wouldn’t worry about matching original spec on springs. Most of my rigs don’t have original springs because I use my trucks as trucks. Personally I go to the 1,750# springs in the back or custom packs because of the way I use my stuff.

Springs should be replaced in pairs. A new leaf spring on one side and an old one on the other will make it lean to the old spring side. If you’re replacing it as a pair, it doesn’t really matter what you get, they just need to match your needs.

for whatever it's worth my 2000 ex cab 3.0 auto flareside 4x4 has B for the front and K for the rear.

for off road flexibility springs may be on the light side.
my 2005 reg cab 2.3 came with more rear spring for hauling.
