These will do up to a 39.5 with the relatively small powerplant I have. No worries. And besides, the tallest I'd EVER run is a 42.

Well, the stinger is kind of (in this case) more about looks than function. I like the look of them, and they are mildly practical when tied into the rest of the bumper/cage. They originated in arctic exploration and were GIANT but had a relatively shallow angle in the event that a vehicle fell into an ice crevasse. The stinger preceded the vehicle, and so if/when the front tires fell into the crevasse, the vehicle wouldn't be debilitated or its occupants killed. They were adapted into off-road rigs to prevent an endo when doing steep descents. In my case, a lot of the areas we wheel are heavily treed and it will help to push fallen trees down or around the vehicle. The angle is too steep to help in the event of an endo, but honestly, most stingers these days are not built to prevent an endo! I didn't want a giant gaudy stinger, so I kept it relatively small and tucked in so it isn't so "out-there".
