Finally got a chance to really look at my brothers new toy. It needs some work. But it is a good trail beater.
Gave him some pointers on what to fix and improve. It won't be street legal so he is just going to keep it a trailer queen. It has broken leads on both sides. Still has the front sway bar connected.
He says he wants taller tires and might take the ones on my truck when I get new ones. One positive is the spool in the rear.
The frame was completely rusted away at the front spring hanger. Typical for Toyota from that year. It has been reinforced with 2" square tubing. He asked when I was going to Bundy Hill again.

Got some bad news. Went to get in the truck this morning and noticed a puddle of oil in the garage floor. Crawled under and it was trans fluid from the t-case. It looks like the front output seal took a crap. It has been slowly leaking for months and must of finally gave way last night on the way home. Had to drive the wires Traverse so hope she doesn't have plans in going anywhere today.

So my next two days off I guess I will have to get busy rebuilding my other 1350. This is an expense I wasn't prepared for. Was going to do a complete time-up but guess it will have to wait and push all my plans of going to the Badlands back a few more weeks.

Since the truck is parked untill the new seals come in I went ahead and started a tune up. Pulled one of the plugs out to check it and wow, I am surprised it was even making any spark. The gap was .091 it should be at .054. Hopefully new plugs will improve mpg.

What the heck. Autozone sucks. Ordered the right part numbers for the seals and what I got today was not what it should of been. Guess I should of went to Napa. Now I have to wait till next week to get the truck driving again.

I gave up in them years ago but they were the only ones that said they could order them besides Napa. Napa wanted 35$ for the same AZ wanted 12 so I guess it is my dumb ass for going to AZ.

Well they did manage to get one of them right. And that's the front output. The one I was really worried they wouldn't have.

I have never had a problem with them. I got both my seals with no problems. Changing them was a bit of a bitch.
 
Got the t-case all repaired. Pulled the case. Opened it up. Tore it completely apart and ended up putting all new seals and bearings in it. $45 later it should be good for quite a while.
