what you could do with the truck is use a 289 v8 and use 302 fuel injection on it to create a fuel injection 289 a little different than the norm, close to the power of a 302, and an idea for the grill, actually a couple of them.

do you hate me that much, i would probably kill myself in less than 30sec if i built it. 400+hp in a 1900lb car with a micro wheel base is suicide. But since the world ends next year and wrecked continentals are cheap we shall see.

And Il Brutto, you're truck is part of my inspiration for my truck which hopefully will be parked soon so i can start building it. but i am going the 302 route with either aod or c4.

same exact car, with the exception of the hard top... i say spitfire, because the spitfire is a more well known car (imo)

Ok, finally got some pics of the console.

It's got a nice hinged lid and some cup holders

open the lid and there will be the stereo

Still needs some finishing but that's the basic idea. I got the shape for the console from a pattern on the first gen door panel.

Did some more work this weekend, not much but some. I 'glassed the console so it will be ready for paint soon and I mounted the factory speaker boxes from the '88 into the '83. I wish it was as easy as it sounds. Took some modification but I wasn't scared. I'll get some more pics up when something worth taking a picture of gets done.

OK, it seems like a while since I posted in this thread. Not much, but I got the console painted and got a new shifter knob...heh heh heh...

Oh and I got the headlights mounted
