project family wheeler. chop top 1 ton explorer.

Hardy har har, your fawking hilarious :thefinger:

Just on that obstacle alone he inverted his shackles probably 6 times. He carries a big pry bar in his jeep so someone can pop them back over every time it happens.
I see what you're saying. If I recall a few years ago, somebody came up with a new design shaped like a V for front shackle(s) so popping them out can be a thing of the past. Can anybody add pix of part/chime in ?

They still don't prevent you from bending the spring when it become linear with the shackle.

Thanks for the info BIG TIME !! The boomerang shackle was to be mounted 'outwards' on front springs.....? This is the first time I saw a rear set-up & is inwards-

they were designed to be used in the rear. People just started using them on the front because they helped with inverting.

did some more cutting on the front tonight, finally decided the stock head lights have to go. so it looks like ill be trying to find me some DOT legal offroad lights though around here they dont care too much.

started playing to see what i liked before i ended just cuting it all out.

front fenders will be matching the rears.

if your going to be chaning the front clip away from the stock look anyeays id say you may as well go full out and pinch the front at the same time

at this point it wont take much, i can pull it in about 2 inches withought doing much of anything. but to go farther ill have to some more cutting of the core support and hood.

I would do a two inch pinch, are you going to boat side it?
