well, gonna wait till october/november than swap it all at once. Figure I wont have tires till then either, gonna be about $1500 for the ones I want. I will do it sooner if I destroy something in the meantime.

I bought them off a buddy who got them from the graveyard, but they don't sell them anymore. James Duff sells them, about $85 for the set.

ah ok thanks. i thought that the james duff ones were only able to be used on cage arms?

Not sure what a cage arm is, but not sure how they are different.

i think its the company or whatever that made cage arms they have the bend in them for the tires to clear. i dunno thats just what i read on pirate when i was trying to find someone who made the weld on wedges

Wow...4 pages back, I need to start working on this thing!

I am still collecting parts for my axle/motor swap.

Picked up a new parts donor....

I am gonna use the box, steering box and front clip, sell the rest.


Plan is to do some tube work and some custom triming, to both front and rear. I will get started on this in the next week or 2, would like to have it done by labor day. Tired of looking so stock, time to change things up a bit.

Ahh, they arent too bad, just both fenders are dented up and I busted out a marker light last time out. Really I just want them so I can cut the fenders the same as the back is gonna be cut.

a good mix of sheetmetal and tube is the best. im definetly not a fan of these full tube trucks with just a cab left.

thats the one thing i liked about your truck and brays they look kinda seem stock looking until you open them up on the trail

Mine will still look stockish, just modified. I might pinch the bed too. I don't know, I just want to be sure I can fit a spare 40 in it and my fuel cell.

I will post pictures, some will hate it, other will love it.

eventually, but not now. I want to go with 1.750 tube for that so I have to buy a mandrel and a bunch more tube.....winter project after I sell my half ton stuff.
