Just use the NP435 and keep looking for a ZF. It took me 2 years of searching, but I found one for $75!!

I'd stick witht he 435, zfs aren't all they're cracked up to be. also, don't forget about that 8.26:1 reverse you get with the 435

the reverse will deffinantly be nice when getting stuck in the tight spots.

That'd be difficult to do since reverse in a 435 uses the same gears on the mainshaft and countershaft as first with a two stage idler to reverse rotation.
