Koty's 91 Ranger Build Thread

Holy shit.... How?

well i was mudding and i guess i got some dampness on my coil packs and it wouldnt start for a few tries. so it kept dumping fuel and air in there, and i guess it all had to go somewhere once it did catch a spark.

im also wondering if my cat is plugged too, ive heard a plugged cat can cause some bad backfires.

alittle trail riding today i got 3 pics with my phone, and a video on a buds camcorder.

thanks man! i appreciate the feedback! its nowhere near as far along as i would like it to be (or should be) but its my baby. but thanks again!!! :icon_cheers:

well i got me another bed for $110. its in ok shape the side i need has a few dents and dings with a little rust, but its alot better than mine.

also i couldnt stand how obnoxious my exhaust was so i threw a cherry bomb glass pack on her. sounds much better than before. im really wanting to get some more money so i can get the rest of the few small parts for my SAS. all those hospital and doctor bills suck. oh well

ive also been riding around in a 5.0 f250 on 35s lately and im in love. i want one in the ranger so bad but i just wont have the money for a while so i started thinking about getting my explorer running and using that 4.0. it might have 200k miles on it but my engines starting to be a bit of a turd....

and think that f250 is a whole lot heavier then the ranger...

i dont have quite everything ready for the front still but i think i might go ahead and get the rear end in sometime in the next week or so, so i at least i feel like im making some progress lol

everything is tore out of the rear and got my back tires mounted and balanced for free on the f150 wheels.(buddy works at a tire shop). right now in the middle of cutting my leaf hangers off to make some adjustments on where they sit. but after i get those mounted i just gotta put in leafs, the rear, and run all the brake stuff, and shorten my f150 driveshaft to fit. then the rear should be done. ill have pics up sometime in the next couple days hopefully.

Are you going to inboard the leafs?

nah im just keeping it simple. those toyota trail gear leafs that everybody says will work, well they dont. theyll bolt in but they are about 4" shorter than a rangers and move your axle forward (or backward depending which direction you put them in). so thats why i had to move the hangers.

but anyways, the 9" is all in! all i have left i think is hook up my e brakes, run new brake lines to them, and shorten the driveshaft that i stole from the same f150 the axles came from. im excited! cant wait to drive it.

on another note the guy who welded on my spring perches in the new location, got them at slightly different angles so it puts a little bit of stress on the springs. will this hurt anything? i didnt think i would but just would double check.
