Has anyone ever seen, or know if it's possible, to swap in a 120 or 140 mph speedometer in to a Gen I Ranger or Bronco II??

my 1st gen gets scary at 75 so i havent worried about how high the speedo goes :)

Wonder if it's any harder (or maybe easier) than doing the same upgrade to a FoxBody? I did that in mine....wasn't too hard to do.

I'm 99.9% sure I've got a photo of one in either an Motorsport/SVO catalog, or a Saleen catalog.

should be doable. the kicker is if the cable accepts the connection/gear that you have in the 1st gen.

Ford (SVO) used to sell them for the BII, had one but sold it about ten years ago. Trying to think of the place that re-does them with different gears and face plates. It's that or adapalate (new word for the day).

Maybe I could find on that would fit and get the cable from a car it fits.

My B2 has a 5.0/C5.

well Jim find one and get-r-dun!

hahahahahahaha... my b2 doesn't dream of going that fast..ever! 80 is good...

so then it should be a direct fit right? as didnt the speedo for the police 5.0s in foxbodys go to over 100?

im assuming that the it reads from the C5 though and not the T-case or axle?

I wonder if you could make one fit from a fox body mustang:

Here's a factory Ranger gauge

sure you could...

hammer, torch, welder, and duct tape.. done!

If you want it done......that might be a good way to do it. Just my thoughts, though. (I'd try it if it were me.......)

your running the stock dash right?
