im getting a 2.9 v6 4x4 1987 stock ford ranger supercab with a 5 speed tranny. has headers and a flowmaster. stock tach. aftermarket radio and 12in. sub. (32x11.50r15 tires should fit right? or should i go for the 31x10.50r15?)

3" lift might get you 31's depending on what the springs are like. Even with a 3" lift I don't think I could fit much bigger than the 235/75-15's that are on it now. Stock height they fit nice too.

Actually, post V8 swap if I go over a decent bump at full left turn the tire catches the inner fender. :annoyed:

Dude........did you not read what you wrote in the title of your thread? It makes you look incredibly un-educated to write like that...

wow totally missed that... srry, bad habit that im trying to break. cant change the title though

really? i guess my '89 just makes the 32's look really small

nice...

2nd gens have bigger front wheel wells, your front fenders do not appear to be stock either in your avatar.

oh i see.

yeah, i got glass fenders on the ranger. they just make the 32's look tiny.

p.s. (off topic) i had a 74 f250 ranger that fit 35's on stock 16.5" rims at stock height. only rubbed on the cross member when you made really sharp turns. :icon_hornsup:

any of you guys ever have a problem shifting into fourth at 35mph? but at 55 it goes in easy?

I could fit 32X11.50s with a 3" body lift on a '86 4x4 no problem. No rubbing at full lock or while flexing. no modification to the wheel wells.:icon_thumby:

Like I said, depends on spring condition. :icon_thumby:

Back in the V6 glory years, same 235/75-15 mud tires and rims it has now. See a whole lot of room for tire growth?

so i should be able to run 30x9.50r15's for sure. what do you think bout the 31's?

Not to cause a argument but, actually my springs and shocks sucked both my front shocks only had about inch and a half of movement couldn't really tell ya how much my springs saged but the rear leafs saged really bad. It drove like a hey wagon but I loved it.

Level ground
