yes because a lemon (or potato) is acidic, and using 2 different types of metal it creates a battery, HOWEVER, those candles (positive and negative poles of the circuit) are not connected, so right off the bat, basic electronics tells you that's an open circuit, and will not work

When you make me think about, which after getting done from work and finishing up school work, I don't want to do, it makes perfect sense.

Though I'm impressed weezl actually had legitimate insight into something finally, and schooled us all.
