Check out this video that was sent to me. This looks like some type of made up stuff you'd see on MacGuyver. I'm a skeptic, but this still looks like an experiment I need to try. It does seem pointless to use a candle to power a light bulb though.

I'd trying to resist the urge to get some candles now...

Dude should have hooked a volt meter up to it to see the power output (assuming it's real).

its bullshit

Just curious, did you try it? I want to give it a whirl, but if someone else has given it a go I won't bother. Like I say, I'm pretty damn skeptical.

its full of bs look at his left hand he always reaches under the table to turn ot on and off the moter and light when he lights the candle and blows it out lol

+1 He so dumb, he changes hands after lighting the first candle so he can use his other hand on the switch. Not even good slight-of-hand.

31 days late with this one.

So are you suggesting the guy has invented wireless electricity using candles? Cuz my switches I always have to wire in.

The candle wax is a pretty good insulator. The candles just have to be burning so the electricity can see where to go.
Candle wax is pretty hard stuff. Try pushing a nail into one that large unless a hole is already drilled. In fact, try hammering a nail that size into a candle that size and see what happens.

Well now that I watch it again...

I see that there was a camera break after he lifted the candles off the table.

i didnt have to try it. its impossible, period.

camera break is nothing, watch the wire that hangs over the edge of the table, someone is pulling on them slightly when he hooks the aligator clip to the light bulb

Well I have heard that you can get small amounts of electricity from 2 different temperature masses, but generally it's been very large differences, and very minimal electricity.

He is using an LED bulb though, you can tell from the beam pattern when he picks it up.

I might waste some time at work trying this, it's not like it takes a major investment. Still skeptical though.

You can get electricity from lemons and potatoes!
