Project SVT

Kris answered this question, but about a 1/3 of the trails we go on at TB are really narrow, FW would not make it down them without turning the truck sideways to squeeze through the trees...

That was my first thought, however I went and checked out all your wheeling pictures in the showoff, and I couldnt find a single obstacle that a fullwidth rig like mine would even flinch at.

I think you're just doing it wrong:thefinger:

those pics in the Showoff Forum do not make a dent on what is at TB or Interlake for that matter.....there are over 100miles of trails there...a couple dozen pics don't do it justice really.....as a matter of fact, the "rock garden" pics are from the "little one", the "big one" is 4x as long....

like said before, it is the spacing of the trees that dictates the "narrowness"....and we just haven't considered them real obsticles so we haven't included or took pics of them.....

If ya need more proof, take a look at railman's bedside :thefinger::thefinger::thefinger:

I don't see fullwidths as being a problem at turkey bay.

As long as you are ok with the picture above, no.

Full width axles wouldn't affect crushing In Your box side. And svt i'm still confused as to how your not going to scrub... I know your going air shocks... So your going to have to have link bars of some sort. And I'd think even if you kink them in so they lay under the frame they'd still rub haha

I may have some scrub, but I haven't got that far in the design yet. I plan to make a temporary limit strap for my extended length and use a 2x4 for my collapsed length of my shock, and check full movement and cycle of the front suspension to check for bindage, scrub, limitations, etc...Hope to get to that point next week or the week after...

Yay! I have no idea how this will turn out but it seems like it's gonna be awsome. Same with fordzilla

I'll fit. One way or another, I'll fit

You'll have to destroy all that new fancy body work to do it with that ext cab! Don't believe look at the TB pics of mine and Railman's trucks. Mine went from pristine to tore up! I'm even considering a new bed, if I can locate a nice one after WCB2 is done. Got more damage last trip! Area in front of and above the fuel door!

Who said anything about wheeling with a bed? :D

nooo dont do it!! your truck is so clean and nice

I have some schweet plans for D, don't worry... It will still look good, on and off the trail. Plans are not set in stone yet, so i'm kinda keeping them to myself until i get hell bent on what i want to do.

Hmm...Would it be a removable wheeling bed/flat bed for trail use, then bolt on the factory bed for street use??
