Focus down focus down!

Car died on me sitting at a light, we all hate that don't we?

Well, after I got it pushed into a parking lot (see, gutting it made it easier) I started hunting for the problem.

Found it a few minutes later. Fuel pump module.
Another reason gutting was good, easy access!

I'm guessing it was loose for a while, and not having the carpet holding it in place it finally let go. (Shhhhhh gutting it was still a good idea)

Got it running last night. And started sanding the hood down.

Hoods painted, drying all night and tomorrow. Turned out half decent!

Also picked up some amber fog lights to install, going to cut my bumper a bit to install em, make the bumper look a little better that stock

finished the painting last night



and slapped it on this afternoon after drying for about 20 hours.

What size tires are you running? I'm looking to get 205/45r17 for mine so my height is the same, but lower profile. It's going to be fun mounting them...

I'm running the svt focus tire size, 215/45r17. Little taller that the stock size on 16's

my stock is 195/60r15. I want to keep my height the same but lower profile. Do the 215s rub anywhere? I originally wanted 215s but was concerned of rubbing.

Nope. Svt is 3/4" lower than mine, and they dont rub on this size. I plan on lowering mine 1.5" and it probably still won't rub. There's lots of fender gap.

For sure. Little more rubber so its not super harsh over bad roads.

I'll have less sidewall though at 45% of 215. those are going to be a bitch to mount...

Nah not bad at all. Unless you're doing it by hand lol.

Nah. I have a machine. and a cheetah. But anything less than a 50 seems to be a bitch to mount and dismount. I usually kneel on the spoon and spin around on the machine though Also got my nuts once, but the spoon fell out. I'm only 160 pounds so it's not really a big deal; my service manager chuckled and said "I guess that's one way to mount tires"

So I'm battling a coolant leak right now. Hoping its the thermostat housing. Ordered a new one of those.

Got started on all the work last night. Didn't get too far into it as the hockey game was on.

That timing belt is baaaaad.

And damn this is dirty. Previous owner must have skimped on oil changes. I dozen every 5k kms. Aka 3100 miles.

Gonna seafoam the crap out of it I guess.
