hey guys iv been searching for pictures for the shifter location of the zf5 in a ranger and I cant seem to find much. I found one in a 1st gen but the pic wasn't all that good. I almost done my v8 swap but now 3/4 of the way through lol I have decided to change my transmission from m5 to a zf. can anyone help me out.

I can measure the distance from the block mating surface to the centerline of the shifter if you would like. I its not in a Ranger, but it is a SBF ZF5

Yes that would be perfect if you could do that thanks

What do you need to know?

I wanted to know where the shifter was going to be. I bought the zf5 and installed it. Just incase anyone else wants to know the Shifter is in pretty much the same spot as the m5odr2. I tried to post pics of it. But I'm computer eliterate lol and it didn't work

I believe the f-series trucks use the same transmission tunnel cover for an m5od and zf5. I just pulled one for my Cummins swap. I alsp pulled a crossmember and it was labelled m5od/zf5 on the bottom. So, basically the shifter locations are very close.
