Is a bw1350 to zf5 a feasible option - have not done due diligence in research due to busy schedule. I appreciate all input!

Short, easy answer is no. The bolt pattern and input-output shaft spline counts do not match so you would need some sort of adapter to fix both of those problems.

Advance Adapters makes ZF to Bronco Dana 20 or Jeep Dana 300 adapters... a good D20 will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$... Dana 300 is probably a better bet.

That's IF you wanted to do that, because a NP 205 will bolt right on easily. Or a 203...but those are massive. You could also do an Atlas... or as a last resort Behemoth might make some sort of underdrive unit that would allow you to use a 1350/1354 but I'm not 100% sure on that. I know they can go the other way - Ranger transmission to full size t-case - I have a C5 in my Explorer and may end up putting one of their adapters and a 205 in that truck to maintain my front dig capabilities once I solid axle swap it.

The input spline count is different on a 4406 if I remember right otherwise that would be more compact...

the zf5 and the bw4406 both have 31 splines and can be bolted together...if you want a brand new bw4406 with manual shift, give me a call.. pm sent
