Well I went out for a little trail action last friday and while I was crossing a creek I ended up maxing out the suspension travel.

I cannot express how jealous I am. If I wasn't dealing with rust, my truck would probably be done by now... :annoyed:

:icon_cheers:

i have an 88 that is 100% rust free... my neighbor just moved here from rhode island and his 2003 is rusted out BAD. i almost died when i saw the amount of rust on his truck. :icon_surprised:

Air tools and penetrating oil are handy.

Replace everything that looks bad now.

Probably going to have to cut off bracket bolts and replace them.

Rubber+steel+water+salt = pain in the ass....

Count on replacing bolts too.

All the shackles will be replaced as well as bolts.

Ya, I wish they didn't salt at all. Slippery roads keep the idiots off of them :icon_rofl: And I would spend free time trying to prevent further damage to both of my trucks.

Thats good. I'd allow yourself plenty of time too. It can end up being very time consuming. :icon_thumby:

Yeah real pain in the butt, a large ball joint tool, impact wrench electric or air and grinder are your best friends here oh and a sawzall wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, that's about as unheard of as an A4LD losing reverse.
