You think this really has only 35,000 miles?

I'm in desperate need of a setup like this right now as my engine and tranny are barely holding on with the 370,000 miles on it. It's starting to make whining noises while accelerating and it's idling kind of rough.

I came across this deal and the guy will more then likely take $300 for it. I was just wondering what should I look for when I go check it out?

It's for my 95 2.3, but I'm sure it will bolt up directly. Thanks.

Tough to tell from the pictures but, it is fairly clean.

About all I can really tell you for certain, judging by the pictures, is that it is a '95 or newer motor.

Other than asking the guy questions, about the only thing you can do is spin the motor over to see, A. if it's seized and B. if it's got compression.

p.s. I moved the errant post where it belongs and removed your response.
