A number of years ago JP magazine done a test on diff covers n the clear one was one they tested. It got points on cool factor but they didn't recommend for off-road. Part of the test was they shot each cover with different calibers ofnpistols n rifles. The clear cover done well with the smaller ones but not so good with the big ones. Like I said this was years ago so this is best that I remember.
i recall the one magazine (petersons 4wheel off road) did a test on a bunch of covers, an they beat thew with a excavator. the plastic coversflattened out when they drove over it. My two cents, would not work on a rock truck, but wpould be badasson a mud truck. maybe get ambitious an put a red light behind it so when you hit your brakes your diff lights up red. kanda like a 3rd brake light for low riders
