a lot of craftsman is not made in america anymore either....

Really?! that's just garbage.

Speaking of getting what you paid for, I made the mistake of buying an open box amp and sub from Wal-Mart for like $15. Took me 20 minutes to blow the amp out after I installed it, no joke. :icon_rofl: What'd I learn? Probably nothing.:D

Lol curses america give us quality tools at quality prices!

this is my hitch cover that was free minus paint that i have since put on it =) so if your going the cheap way build it from scratch :icon_welder:

yeah, I actually bought a good bit of Craftsman sockets b/c they were the "old" model at a GREAT price... the new models were the same price as the old's regular price, but were now not marked made in USA. Asked the guy at Sear's and he said they are outsourcing some tools now

Put some led strip brake lights on it.

I'm really not digging the laser etched sockets from Craftsman. I quit using their sockets when they started that garbage.

Some tools they will replace in the store IF they have them. Otherwise you have to wait for thwm to mail you one. The warranty is the whole reason I ever even bought craftsman.

It's getting harder and harder to find things made in the USA. And when you do find something it's usually triple the price.

I don't have a problem with THEIR etched sockets, they last better than other brands. I've had some awhile now and you can still easily read them.

Craftsman quality has gone downhill lately. still not a bad tool for the price you pay and they are made in the USA, although I have seen that change on a few items. I will say that if Craftsman no longer makes them in the USA, then Mendards sells Allen brand tools, and they are still made in the USA. If I am going to pay more money for a wrench or socket, I will get the made in USA version over the china crap.

I don't think it was china. Think it might have been Mexico. But not all of craftsman is American made anymore.

I have a lot of snap-on. Wanna talk about paying for stuff... I worked at a semi shop at 14 years old and gave my entire check every week to the tool man. You can do that when you live at home, ride to work with dad, and don't have bills.

ikr! :icon_rofl::icon_rofl: I just keep a hitch in everything.. it's extra back end protection :thefinger:

Protection from what? What could happen back there that a little piece of plastic will protect a steel receiver from?

I have the big oval one that I also got cheap, I keep it behind the seat except for when I take it to car shows. It looks a lot better than the insides of my well used hitch or my beat up receivers.

As far as tools go, I haven't had much of a problem with Craftsman. What I didn't like was when one new ratchet was jammed up out of the box (probably 10 years ago) and when I warrantied it they pulled the last "rebuilt" one out of their bucket that looked like its previous life was spent unplugging garbage disposals while they were turned on. I pitched a fit and nobody cared.

I have some Snap-On stuff and while it is nice... their ratchets are really nice (and they better be) but it is hard to justify when nobody pays you to work on your own stuff.

Northern has pretty good bang for buck tools, I like them better than HF.

protection from the kid who isn't paying attention and rear ends you ( i was riding with my buddy and he ran into some guys hitch, no damage to his truck, woo!)

I'm talking about the HITCH being protection. Not the plastic covers. Notice I said I leave a hitch in everything not a cover on it

I'm no longer buying snap on. Don't make that kind of money anymore.

you bought a hitch cover?

:shok:

people really buy and use those???

Yes!! People do, Bro...lol. I bought one for my front receiver hitch. It is a Reese Hitch and I bought a Reese Hitch cover at Walmart many years ago. It still looks brand new!!! My rear reciever is a Reese as well. Both are 2 inch recivers.
