Does anybody know about how much height increase you get with one full turn of the adjusting bolt on the torsion bars of a 1999 ranger 4x4? Also, can anyone tell or show me which on is the bolt you are supposed to turn? I think it is the one that points down and peeks through the guard... I need to compensate for a heavy son of a gun bumper guard that I built out of 3/8 steel. I might increase the lift just a tidge from stock as well. I am going to measure it first with the bumper off. Anyone?

Yes, I looked over that earlier... I was just wondering how much lift you get with one turn, but it sounds like you get about as much as the bolt turns in...

little less actually becuase u have to account for the twisting torsion on the bar, but ya, thats about right, however much u turn it in is what u will get

From my experinces with bars, 1 turn might give u 1/4 inch in lift.
And what that said about the tires dropping more in that article, i dont know where he got that. The shock keeps the downtravel limited so the tire wont go down with the truck in the air. Give yourself 1.5 inches of lift at most too, dont do 3 inchs or you won't have ANY down travel and will mess upp the front end

also, is it normal for the adjusting screws to be turned in different amounts? My driver's side one seems to be turned in about 1/4 inch more than the passenger one at least. Anyone know anything about this?
