well i have a 2wd 87 2.3l ranger with 3.45 gears, this is my dd, i found some 4.56 gears, is that to much of a gear, i have 05 17 mustang rims so the tires are pretty tall.

"Pretty tall" is pretty subjective. What size are they? My truck has 4.10s stock with 225/75R15s and it's great.

yea, that is really steep for a DD. you want to go prolly a max of 4:10s with the engine and tires or you will be redlining it at like 55mph.

thanks guys i figured i would be to much but i found a deal local for those gears, another question, what year trucks come with a 7.5 rear end with 4.10's in them, i know most automatics have them.

Most 4 cylinder trucks, and some with the 3.0.

I'd go hunting for a 1990-92 2.3 4x4.
