yet another driveshaft swap question

I have 97 mazda 4x4, carrier bearing exploded last week. I just cut out the crossmember and bought a aluminum 1 pc shaft out of a 04 ranger. the axle flange bolted right up, but the t case flange is to small for the 3" spacing on the axle.
question is, do I see if I can get the flange from the donor truck to swap on the t case? or is there a adapter I can get from the parts store? or ????
need to get this truck moving.

Huh? That's weird. I have the same '97 B4000 as you. I bought a 1-piece steel driveshaft from a 2001 Ranger supercab. It fit like a glove. The mounting bolts were 3" apart. Bolted right up, perfectly. ( http://imgur.com/a/BL7mz ) <== CLICK

The steel and aluminum shafts are different. This is explained in the 1 piece swap article.

anyone have the spicer part # for the two sized u joint? think its a 1310 to a 1330.

like i said, my 97 mazda with the 4.0 l 5 spd has a small bolt hole flange on the t case.

you need a flange yoke for the bigger ujoint and the smaller bolt circle? ive got one if youre interested.

going to grab the flange off the donor truck after work. will it matter that its an auto?
just has the one big nut to pull the flange off.

swapped flanges today and worked out awesome.
getting the big flange nut off was a bit of a chore though.
