Parts: Purchased via Universal Radio

Yaesu FT-8900R Transceiver

in box mounting bracket - Universal Radio included a remote face panel mount with the purchase, but I'm not planning on using it

CPM5 Antenna Mount from Comet

UHV4 Antenna from Comet - A separate antenna for the 10m element is preferred and on the horizon

I haven't photographed the antenna yet, but it is functioning correctly. Currently working to stabilize the mount a little better. I'll try a piece of angle iron between the mount's set screws and the lip of my truck bed. Other than that it just needs a little apex wrenching on occasion.

And do you have the part number for the rubber floor liner in your truck.. id like to get that instead of my black carpet..

The floor liner was there when I bought it. Sorry for the delay, ha... Any luck these past five months finding it?
 
Looks like a great install, and in a perfect place where a glance can see the radio. Snap some pics of the antenna when you get a chance and all secured. Just for the hell of it, get some of the self sealing tape, and go over all your connections. I did after I got moisture in the connector on my CB antenna...

I've got an 8800 remote mounted on my dash just below an Alpine CD player with the body of the radio where the pass side air bag should be. My '97 didn't come with a pass side airbag so it makes a great place to hide stuff like that.
