i have a 88 ranger super cab lifted 6'' and want to know should i go with the 6.5" lift springs or the 5.5" , what would be the best? they will be goin on a d35 and the front is goin to have a winch bumper with a winch, so i need to add that waight as well. thanks for the help guys. mike...:stirthepot:

Dont go with xj coils at all. Try and use early bronco coils. search round at jeffs bronco graveyard you can get some coils for around $120. Also good luck with steering geometry. I assume an extreme drop pitman arm that u have already have which will be good. But as far as that goes... the softer the coils = the more a flat steering geometry is needed.

Basically look for a coils 300-350ppi and use the same info in the tech section for how to set up the these coils as you would the XJ. Also yes you will probably not be able to get your full 6 inches back so spacers may be necessary

ill just go wth the sky jacker 6'' coils and radius arms and see where that gits mm for now, thanks man for gettin back.

what are you doing with your old coils and radius arm drop brackets?

Mkpecor, I think the xj coils would be to soft for a super cab. You'd have way better flex and keep a good ride with Early Bronco springs. They are about 300ppi and would provide good flex, better than the skyjacker sofrides, which are about 400ppi. The XJ's are anywhere from 240-270ppi. These are fine for a regular cab or bronco II, but if you do want extra flex, go with the EB coils and extended radius arms. The skyjacker or stock supercab(500ppi) are just a little stiff for Rangers.

I currently have 6" Skyjacker coils on my 90 Ranger that are way too stiff for the 2.3 in the truck. I'll have to live with them a little while longer because I plan to go to a D30 and there is the rub. I keep hearing different heights for different springs for the XJs, what might be the consensusfor a real 6" lift for the Ranger with a SAS?

ill sale all the parts for cheap, if you need them, smash is salling me extended arms here soon so the drop brackets i can get rid of soon

awesome, just pm me when you have your new arms and can let the brackets go.
And the springs as well.
